Because why is January so fast? Or is it just me? Usually, January feels like six months on its own. How is the month ending tomorrow?
This month has been a mix of emotions. I have been enjoying releasing my podcast weekly, and the love you have shown my new baby has been beautiful and nothing short of encouraging.
Special shoutout to Camaa Pearl and Adesuwa O'man Nwokedi for being my first guests on the show.
I've been doing a lot of thinking this month about how to move my career to the next level, with Ignite, the unfinished sequel to Rebound, lurking on my mind—even though I'm not in the headspace to complete it right now.
Honestly, who has tips on how I can wire my mind to relax? Because my brain seriously needs to pick a struggle… lol.
Anyway, I'm grateful and happy to be writing to you, my wonderful community, this month.

Rebranding Updates
Here are some changes happening in the coming weeks as I try to figure out which direction my career is going:
This Substack publication is going to become the one-stop shop for everything related to Aminat Sanni-Kamal—as an Author, Podcaster, and Creative Entrepreneur. No more plenty, plenty unnecessary links.
What this means:
The publication will be getting:
A new name
An official logo
A catalogue of my books and upcoming book releases (when I get back to them), all of which will be found here.
I’ll be getting an official domain name for SEO purposes.
For all intents and purposes, this publication will serve as my website—but even better, because I get to connect with you, my amazing community members.
What won’t change:
The current sections on the publication will remain. They might get an upgrade, but weekly stories and podcasts will continue.
This will continue to be a safe space for me and my community members.
Social Media Rebranding
This one has been long overdue because what is that mess on my social media? 😂😂😂
I currently have three Instagram accounts (at least the ones I have access to… lol):
aminatsannik – My author account, which is the most popular one. I have less than 1,000 followers, but even though, even though.
dearaminat – Not a business account, just a personal space.
Itanifepodcast – Previously @cozyscreenandpages, originally for books, movies, and K-dramas.
So here’s what’s happening:
aminatsannik is getting a major rebranding. My posts there will now be properly planned and arranged.
dearaminat will remain as it is—just me posting random pictures of myself.
itanifepodcast will now be used for the podcast while still incorporating its original purpose—but in a more thought-out and streamlined way.
Other Platforms:
TikTok – Still not sure what to do with this yet. I have no interest in creating core video content at this point. But then again, I don’t have to do everything at once. That’s the point of this break—to figure things out slowly.
Facebook – Will be optimized as well (I hope to God I can remember my password).
YouTube – Needs the biggest revamp. Like I said, I don’t have the strength for core video content—at least not yet.
My podcast will be uploaded there.
I’ll vlog when I feel like it.
I’ll create writing and self-publishing courses there (and also on Substack), sharing things I have learnt and am still learning. These will mostly be AI-generated voiceovers, but I’ll figure that out as time goes on.
I also plan to finally, finally, finally get my professional author photoshoot done this year. It haff reach to do… lol.
The Goal:
The aim of this rebranding is for my Substack/website and social media to have one clear theme. You see it and immediately know it’s from me, even without seeing anything else.
This is not something that can be done in a day, but from the moment you receive this Newsletter, the rebranding process has begun.
Writing Plans for the Year
Lol… I have none.
Well, apart from the weekly stories I’m publishing for the web series (which still doesn’t have a title).
But what will I be doing instead?
Planning all my pending stories.
Going back to the drawing board for Ignite.
Developing my sci-fi fantasy series that’s been on my mind.
Finalizing worldbuilding for upcoming projects.
Properly planning Amber Fire’s sequel.
This way, when I finally have the strength to write and commit to long-term projects, I’ll have my blueprints ready.
